Stablecoins like USDC, PayPal USD and Ripple USD are US dollars that live in a phone wallet instead of a bank card. One is always worth $1, and each is backed by real dollars and short-term US Treasuries. Samsung is adding them to Samsung Wallet for US Galaxy owners, and PayPal and Venmo users can already hold them.
New: Western Union’s stablecoin. Western Union now has its own dollar stablecoin, USDPT, and people in Mexico can buy it with pesos on Bitso. XL Pay takes it at your counter. Want dollars? Swap it to USDC in your wallet in one tap, then cash out as usual.
New: Solana goes near-instant. Solana’s Alpenglow upgrade, scheduled for October 21, 2026, targets payments that are final in about 150 milliseconds, down from about 12.8 seconds. Nothing changes for you or your customers except speed. To get the most from it, make USDC on Solana your counter’s default and point customers to Phantom, Coinbase or Samsung Wallet. Type the amount
Your staff enter the total on the XL Pay screen, on any tablet or phone next to your register. Tap $10, $20, $50 or type it in.
The customer scans
They pick a tip and scan the QR code with the wallet app already on their phone, like Samsung Wallet, Coinbase, PayPal, Phantom or MetaMask.
The check appears
In seconds the screen shows the check: the money is in your account. They can get an email receipt, and you get the sale in your report.

Your money, your account
Payments go straight to a wallet only your business controls. We never hold, move or exchange your money.
No chargebacks
Customers can’t reverse a payment. Refunds are your call, sent back from your wallet.

Coinbase to your bank
- 1Send your USDC to your Coinbase account (we save the address in your wallet for you).
- 2Sell USDC for US dollars, one-to-one.
- 3Withdraw to your bank.
No fee to sell USDC; free bank withdrawal (ACH), usually 1–3 business days.
Kraken to your bank
- 1Send your USDC to your Kraken account.
- 2Convert USDC to US dollars, one-to-one.
- 3Withdraw to your bank.
No fee or spread to convert USDC (up to $100,000 a day); free bank withdrawal (ACH), usually 0–2 business days. Instant withdrawal costs 1.5% (max $50).
PayPal balance and debit card
- 1Accept PayPal USD at the counter.
- 2Send it to your PayPal account.
- 3Spend it as PayPal balance, with the PayPal debit card, or move it to your bank.
PayPal charges 1.5% when PayPal USD arrives from an outside wallet.
Straight from your wallet
- 1Open MetaMask or Phantom.
- 2Tap Sell and choose USDC.
- 3Pick your bank account, debit card or PayPal as the destination.
